Ongar Carnival 2007

The Ongar Carnival happens on the third or fourth Sunday in June each year, starting at about 12 noon.

Organised by Ongar Round Table and supported by many local organisations, businesses and individuals, the Carnival is a riot of colour and sound as it proceeds down Ongar High Street.  We have marching bands,  wonderfully decorated floats, vintage vehicles, a Carnival Queen and Princesses and lots of fun.

Local charities often do bucket collections from their floats, so please support them when the Carnival goes past.

The Carnival procession ends up at the Chipping Ongar Primary School Fete where there are many fun and exciting stalls, games and other activities to have a go at. Ongar Round Table run the beer tent which includes the very popular Pimms bar, as well as provide information about Round Table and opportunities for new members to join.
