Congratulations to all those that
ran the 5 mile race. Thank you to everyone that helped out
especially the marshals (23 people who could have run otherwise) and
the members of Havering 90 Joggers (especially Dave Keeley and the
Collins family) and 41 Club. Thanks also to Roger (from Area 33) for
the gazebo and balloon fest!
Despite over 70 pre race day entries and 12 entries on the day,
only 40 people ending up racing. This was probably because of the
rain – wimps! The good news meant that everyone received a spot
prize of a HRT kit bag.
We made a profit which will go to charity and people got fit so
overall a success! We intend to hold this race next year and with a
bit more exposure, I am sure we will get more entrants. You have
plenty of time so get training.
