Karting 2007
March 2007

1st - Chelmsford 132	2nd - Hornchurch	3rd - Leigh

Great news from the Karting after hard fought but very sportsmanlike contest, the results!! 

First place went to Chelmsford 132 .

Conventional wisdom states that to be a good Karter you need to short, skinny and Psychotic!! (Where was the Gnome?)
Well these boys stuck 2 fingers up at 2 of these and wiped the floor with all of us. Well at least they were Psychotic!!

Second Place went to Hornchurch

So begins the first of the racing excuses, apparently they would have won but they say they were held up by some fat bastard in car number 7 in the last stint. This is of course completely untrue …….I’ve  lost over a stone and a half since Christmas. Anyway will they still have the great Honour of organising the event next year.

Third Place went to Leigh on Sea 909

They were not at all (that) smug about not getting second, I am sure they would have been glad to organise next year but Hey-Ho, them's the breaks!! The rumour they were acting on team orders was also completely untrue

The Fastest Lap went to Kevin Mesnard

Our illustrious organiser capped off a very successful night by claiming the fasted Lap of the event. Well done! 

As this event was for fun only, no points are awarded due to limited number of teams, able to compete however all 9 teams had a great night and in the end were separated by only 16 seconds.
