With two and a half months to train and a dodgy knee I was somewhat apprehensive before the day but I'm pleased to report I ground out a finish in 4hrs 49, averaging 11 minute miles with an 8 minute mile at the end for the cameras!

If anyone tells you the Marathon is great fun please see the attached photograph as I approach the finish line. A picture paints a thousand words, it took me 26 miles to get past the old boy in the background, he was one tough cookey..!
